Palma, the Tramuntana and the north, which almost nobody does: Alcúdia with its wall and Roman ruins, the 365 steps at Pollença and Cap de Formentor. Watch out for Formentor: from May to October you cannot drive there between 10am and 10pm, you take bus 334.

A suggestion, not a rule: once you create the trip you can split it up however you like.
💡May, June and September is a different island
In July and August Mallorca is full and expensive, and too hot for walking in the mountains. In May, June and September the water is already good, the roads are empty and accommodation costs half. It is the best decision you can make about this trip.
💡Without a car you miss half the island
Mallorca's public transport connects Palma with the larger towns and not much else: the coves and the Tramuntana are outside it. Hire in advance — prices spike in summer — and bear in mind that many coves close their car parks once full, by mid-morning.
💡To Sa Calobra, better by boat
The road down is spectacular but it is 12 km of hairpins, with cyclists and coaches, and it takes just as long to get back up. From Port de Sóller a boat drops you at the cove in 50 minutes along the coast. Buy the ticket the day before.
