Cuando sopla levante, las playas de la zona se vuelven incómodas: arena en la cara y bandera amarilla o roja. Aquí el parte del viento importa más que el del sol. Con levante fuerte se cambia la playa por la ciudad, o se busca el lado de poniente, que queda resguardado.

En las freidurías el pescado se compra por peso, te lo dan en un cucurucho de papel y se come en la calle con una caña al lado. Pedir medias raciones en vez de platos es lo normal y el pescado del día lo cantan sin carta. La tortillita de camarones, recién hecha, o no vale.
